Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to enquiries made through Regional Queensland Security Services.
1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Regional Queensland Security Services website.
By using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the website.
These website terms are separate from any client agreement, quotation, proposal, engagement letter, purchase order, contract or other document governing security services provided by RQSS.
2. About RQSS
Regional Queensland Security Services is operated by Regional Queensland Investigations Pty Ltd, ABN 20 676 277 820.
RQSS provides security services in Queensland subject to licensing, personnel availability, location, operational requirements and the terms of any particular engagement.
3. Website Information
The information provided on this website is general in nature and is intended to describe the types of security services RQSS may provide.
Website content does not constitute legal, security, risk-management or other professional advice specific to your circumstances.
Security requirements vary depending on the location, nature of the site, identified risks, operating environment, hours of coverage and other relevant circumstances.
4. Service Availability
References on this website to security services, regions or locations do not guarantee that RQSS can accept or immediately service every enquiry.
Service availability may depend on factors including:
- the location of the assignment;
- the required commencement date;
- the duration and hours of coverage;
- the number of personnel required;
- availability of appropriately licensed personnel;
- site inductions and competencies;
- travel and accommodation requirements;
- client-specific requirements; and
- the nature and level of risk involved.
RQSS reserves the right to decline any proposed engagement.
5. Enquiries Do Not Create an Engagement
Contacting RQSS, submitting an online enquiry, making a telephone enquiry or requesting a quotation does not by itself create a contract or require RQSS to provide security services.
An engagement will only commence once the parties have agreed the relevant scope, commercial terms and operational arrangements and any required acceptance, authorisation or payment conditions have been satisfied.
6. Quotations and Proposals
Any quotation or proposal provided by RQSS may be subject to additional terms and conditions.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations may be based on information available at the time and may change if the requested scope, hours, personnel, location or operational requirements change.
Travel, accommodation, special equipment, inductions, additional personnel, extended hours and other project costs may be charged separately where specified in the relevant quotation or agreement.
7. Client Responsibilities
Where RQSS is engaged to provide security services, the client may be required to provide accurate and timely information necessary for us to perform the assignment safely and effectively.
This may include:
- site access arrangements;
- known security risks and threats;
- relevant workplace or project rules;
- emergency and escalation contacts;
- site inductions;
- restricted areas and access permissions;
- hazards relevant to security personnel;
- reporting requirements; and
- changes to operational circumstances.
8. Security Services and Risk
Security services can assist with the management of identified security risks but cannot eliminate all risk.
The presence of security personnel does not guarantee that theft, damage, trespass, violence, unauthorised access or other incidents will not occur.
RQSS personnel perform duties within their lawful authority, licence conditions, agreed scope and the circumstances reasonably confronting them at the time.
9. Emergency Situations
RQSS is not a substitute for police, fire, ambulance or other emergency services.
Where there is an immediate threat to life or safety, violence in progress, serious criminal activity or another emergency, appropriate emergency services should be contacted.
10. Recruitment and Careers Information
Information on the RQSS Careers page is general and does not represent a guarantee of employment, contracting work, hours or future assignments.
